The Illinois State Rifle Association  Academy will be presenting a Women's Only Basic Pistol Class on February 3rd. This eight (8) hour course serves the needs of both new and experienced shooters alike. If you’re thinking about purchasing a handgun for yourself or a family member and don’t know what to buy, this class will address your questions. If you’re uncomfortable around firearms and want to overcome your concerns, this is an opportunity to experience firearms safety instruction in a positive, non-threatening atmosphere. If you learned to shoot on your own or from a friend and just want to polish your technique, or if you have never shot before, this class is for you. This is an excellent opportunity to experience one-on-one training from competent, experienced instructors.

 
Prerequisite: Students must be law-abiding citizens legally qualified to own firearms. FOID cards are not required to take this class, but students are strongly encouraged to have one.
