As rioters continue to control the streets of Chicago and other major cities, the mayors of these cities and their respective legislative bodies do nothing. They simply don’t really care, are visionless, or on the side of the rioters. This has gone so far that at this point it may not matter. If this continues, these cities
will become shells and turn into Petri dishes for all sorts of evil, if they haven’t already. These gangs that roam unobstructed will eventually cannibalize the cities and spill out into surrounding areas that were once peaceful neighborhoods, suburbs, villages, towns and smaller cities. Eventually, we will all have to face them. It is better to prepare for a storm and not have one than not prepare and get one. To dither and say “I hope” is a poor
strategy. People who depend on hope rather than action aren’t worth much in my view.
The lack of leadership of big city mayors is phenomenal. Mayor Lightfoot of Chicago announced that what the rioters and looters were doing is a felony and we know who you are. Ok, so what are you going to do about it? The answer is going to be somewhere between very little and nothing, other than hurl accusations against everyone and everything but herself and the Chicago City Council. Exasperating. With the selection by Joe Biden of Kamala Harris as his Vice Presidential pick, the battle lines could not be clearer. For gun owning Americans, the choice of Kamala Harris couldn’t be worse. There is no cuckoo gun control scheme she doesn’t like regardless if it constitutional or not. In my opinion, she has zero respect for the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Some of her positions and activities are: * You must have good cause to get a concealed carry permit. Of course, no cause would be good enough for people like you and me. We would be at the mercy of the mob. * She got the good-for-nothing Ninth Circuit to allow her to collect confidential information on not-for-profit advocacy groups without probable cause. * She states she would have a mandatory buyback program for so - called assault weapons, according to her definition of course. * She promises Executive Orders on gun control (Australia style gun confiscation) if Congress does not give her what she wants. It is important to understand that Kamala Harris is more than just a Vice Presidential Candidate. She will become the 47th President of the United States. I predict that if Biden is elected, he will resign near the end of his first term to make Harris the President. This would make her the incumbent in the 2024 General
Election. It would also give her free rein to do whatever she wants in the interim. I would expect a blizzard of Executive Orders. It is time to get off your duff and get active. This is not only about the Second Amendment but the future of the United States. There is 81 days until Election Day.

August 15, 1945, Emperor Hirohito announces the surrender of Japan, officially celebrated as VJ Day. August 19, 1812, the U.S. Navy frigate U.S.S. Constitution defeated the British frigate Guerriere. In this battle, the U.S.S. Constitution earned the nickname Old Ironsides. The ship was built out Native American oak and the British cannon balls just bounced off her sides. For the record the U.S.S. Constitution is 204 feet long and weighs 2200 tons. Although rated as a 44 gun frigate, she often carried 50 guns.
