Hello All,
Come out and join your friends at the ISRA South Suburban Townhall Meeting. Our guest speaker for the January 9th meeting is Dr. Tom Tarter, who is a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate running against Dick Durbin Dr. Tom Tarter is a nationally-recognized surgeon who has focused his career on serving the people of Illinois as a renowned urologist and cancer surgeon, medical researcher and professor, and now as a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. Dr. Tarter is a national leader in the treatment of urologic cancer and is recognized by the healthcare industry as an expert in urologic cancer surgery. As a nationally recognized urologist and cancer surgeon, he has published numerous articles in high-impact medical journals. An expert in medical policy, Dr. Tarter served on the Board of Governors at the Carle Clinic Association, on the Board of Directors of Health Alliance Medical Plans, and on the Health Policy Council of the North Central Section of the American Urological Association where he gained expertise in federal healthcare policy. Dr. Tarter’s experience makes him uniquely qualified to address the health care crisis, pushing for commonsense policies that make health care and insurance more affordable.While completing his medical training at the County Hospital of Los Angeles, which is located in a crime-ridden area heavily populated by illegal immigrants, he operated on many illegal immigrant gang members who had been shot or stabbed among the chaos and poverty plaguing the community. Dr. Tarter and his wife, Julie, have been long-time supporters of the Sangamon County Republican Party and Republican candidates for local and statewide office. He and his wife have 3 adopted sons, twins Andrei and Nikolai (22), and Sergei (20). Julie and Sergei are Sangamon County Republican Precinct Committeemen. For 23 years, the Tarters have been residents of Central Illinois. After a career of serving others in the healthcare industry, Dr. Tarter retired 3 years early to run for U.S. Senate to defeat Dick Durbin and serve all Illinois residents in the United States Senate. And, of course there will be discussion of current events! Our host Kenootz's Pizza will again be offering a Buffet meal for this meeting. For a cost of $10.00 you will be able to enjoy all you can eat Pizza, Beef Sandwiches, Mostaccioli, Salad, bread and soft drinks.
