December Meeting

Well, it's that time of year again...time for our Annual Will Country Grassroots Show and Tell meeting. As we do each December, rather than having a formal speaker, we invite you to bring your favorite firearm (legally transported and presented, of course) for Show and Tell. Whether it's the first one you ever owned, something that was passed down to you through the generations or even a recent purchase of a new firearm, bring it to Show and Tell and let us know why it is special to you. It's always interesting to see all the different kinds of guns and learn more about them. You don't want to miss this meeting and, as always, don't forget to bring a friend!

WCGR Gun Giveaway

Will County ISRA member,Michael Barton of Godley was the name drawn for the WCGR November Gun Giveaway. Regretfully Michael was not present so the gun will roll to next month! Remember, the winner must be present, be an ISRA member, have a valid FOID and comply with all local, state and federal laws.

November Meeting

At our November meeting, Margo McDermed announced her reelection.  She talked about an ammo tax bill being proposed and mentioned that we should start to see the first bills from new legislature in the 2nd half of January 2019.

Doug Mayhall spoke about the dire situation in Springfield due to the election losses at both the state and county levels.  The arranged speaker (for CCL insurance) was not in attendance.

Ed Rankowski talked about voter fraud and the lack of election judges.  He mentioned that a number of people registered to vote last year with the address of the county clerk's office on the same day as the election.  The best way to help is to become a watcher.

Doug finished up the meeting by talking about a proposal for a total bun buyback and ban the same style as Australia.  He mentioned that Pritzker has vowed to sign any anti-gun bills but did mention that legislators like the ISRA "because of the way that they are upfront and honest."

Chairman's Remarks

So Now What?
 David A. Lombardo

It isn’t as if no one warned you. The Democrats themselves were very clear about their intent to take over federal, state and local government. The message was sputtered from the U.S. Congress down to the mob of children that stopped eating Tide Pods long enough to charge the Democratic base and rally the voters. .........
