The United Nations International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA) just completed another week long conference aimed at disarming you, the American Citizen.  Town Hall’s Beth Bauman reports the reference to Grassroots groups is very interesting.  The committee’s words: “...controlling and regulating small arms therefore requires action that goes well beyond national security institutions.  It includes providing alternative livelihoods for former combatants, engaging with municipal governments and the police, working civil society including grassroots organizations and community violence reduction programs as well as local businesses.” 

Sound familiar?  Of course it does because it is happening right now.  What do you think the Moms, Everytown, and all the other local initiatives are really about?  The people who populate these organizations are wittingly or unwittingly helping the U. N. and destroying the United States.  It does not matter; they are all guilty.  Of course, Michael Bloomberg, George Soros and several other holier than thou billionaires are behind it.  I have two U.N. flags which I bought for the sole purpose of burning the bastards.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I thought Justice Anthony Kennedy would most likely retire soon.  I thought he would wait, but he did not and announced his resignation yesterday, effective July 31, 2018.  I must say I was never a member of the Justice Kennedy Fan Club but that is now a moot point.  What is the point is that the United States Supreme Court now has a vacancy.  Right now the United States Supreme Court has a very fragile semi-conservative majority.  The retirement of Justice Kennedy is both an opportunity and a risk.  If gun owners across the country turn out, it is an opportunity.  If they don’t, we are in greater danger than ever.  The new Justice will likely be on the court a long time.  If the balance of power shifts in Congress, we are going to be in for it.  An example of what can happen occurred in New York’s 14th Congressional District.  Joe Crowley, the 4th ranking Democrat, was defeated by newcomer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.  Ocasio-Cortez is a Democrat socialist from the far left wing of the Democrat Party - shades of things to come.

The unofficial beginning of summer arrived at the ISRA Range last weekend.  The Summer Glock League was packed, the Bullseye League was full, the Appleseed Project line was at capacity and the ISRA Marksmanship League had its biggest day.  Please check the ISRA Calendar for activities to participate in. Wherever you are, get involved in the local club matches.

On July 8, 2018, the National Matches will begin at Camp Perry, Ohio.  The NRA Pistol Matches kick off the summer competition.  This year, the NRA Smallbore matches are at Bristol, Indiana and the .22 CMP Matches are at Camp Perry, along with the Service Rifle Matches.  The NRA Highpower Matches are at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.  The summer ends with the Grand American Shotgun Championships in Sparta, Illinois.  It’s a busy summer.  Get out there and get involved in the shooting sports.
