Today, the Illinois State Rifle Association honors the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States of America. We also remember the Gold Star families who carry that sacrifice every day.
Freedom is never free. The rights protected by
our Constitution, including the Second Amendment, were secured and defended by generations of Americans willing to stand in harm’s way for this country.
As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day weekend, we encourage every Illinois gun owner to take a moment to reflect on the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who never came home.
We remember them. We honor them. We
will never forget them.
