Suburban Cook County Grassroots meeting. As always we will discuss current events.
Our guest speakers will be Chris Smith and Bob Palermo who are integral in teaching on how to stop the bleed. The Stop the Bleed program was started in response to the school shootings. They found out if they were not killed out right, the victims would bleed to death in a matter of
minutes. Bystanders or victims themselves can use easy techniques to stop the bleeding and many lives were saved because of this. We will talk about pressure dressings and tourniquets using items you have around ( shirt, belts, etc). We also talk about preparedness and items you should have in your range bag in case there is an accident while sport shooting or hunting, or even in your car if you have an accident. Deaths due to bleeding can be prevented with some easy techniques and
knowledge.
