Yesterday's Thursday Bulletin mentioned that youth did not need a permit during the special youth hunting season. When it was searched online, it appeared to be the case, but we all know how perfectly clear Illinois rules can be.
It turns out that youths do need permits to hunt and the youth hunting season uses a special permit available over the counter at your local license
dealer.
The ISRA apologizes for this error, and hopes that you will use the youth hunting season to pass on the heritage of hunting in Illinois.
